OSHA Courses

We have resources available to help locals offer OSHA courses that fit their training needs. Our OSHA curriculum library includes OSHA 10-Hour General Industry, OSHA 10-Hour Construction, OSHA 30-Hour General Industry, and OSHA 30-Hour Construction. Each curriculum uses examples from the entertainment industry. Upon completion, students receive their OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour completion card.

We reimburse workers for industry certifications because we know that ongoing training is important to stay competitive, grow professionally, and perform craft work safely.

Want the flexibility of setting up OSHA classes when you need them? We'll reimburse your local to develop an OSHA Outreach Trainer to teach OSHA Outreach Training Program trainings at your local.

Trainers

Train the Trainer

Our intensive Train the Trainer workshops provide trainers who teach safety and/or craft skills classes for their local with developmental training that covers effective teaching techniques, learning styles, training design, and lesson planning concepts. Over the years, we’ve developed several different versions of this course to meet the various training needs of locals. We’re always open to developing new courses and resources, and we currently offer three different Train the Trainer workshops.

  • Fact Sheet: Presents an overview of key programs offered to local unions and IATSE workers.

  • Program Guide: Details the various programs, staff contacts for each program, and answers frequently asked questions.

  • Guide to Developing Training Programs: Offers guidance on establishing effective training programs and utilizing local trainers to enhance skills and reduce costs. It aims to help locals assess and meet their training needs.

  • OSHA 10 vs. OSHA 30: A poster explaining the differences between OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 courses, including which is suitable for different types of work environments (General Industry vs. Construction).

  • Emergency Action Plan (EAP): Encourages local unions to develop EAPs for classes.
